Conditions

Menorca Kayak 360º is subject to a regulation and a set of conditions which is essential to be clear about before registering to the activity.

HOW IT WORKS

Kayak Menorca 360º tours are guided (one guide for every four participants) and include accommodation, equipment, picnics and transportation of participants and luggage.

The activity lasts about 8 hours daily from 10 am to 6 pm in summer and from 9 am to 5 pm in winter. Regarding the actual paddling time, the 360º tour is between 5 and 6 hours daily, while the 180º tour is between 4 and 5 hours daily.

The activity begins before the first stage with a transfer to the starting point, presentation of the group, delivery of materials and briefing by the guides. Each day participants will be taken both at the start and at the end of each stage. In some cases, participants will have to walk for up to 45 minutes to the picking point as there is not always vehicular access to the coast. At the end of the last stage, participants will be taken to the corresponding accommodation for the end of the activity.

Regarding the accommodation, they will be located as much as possible in the area of the start or the end of each stage, so that the transfers are always the shortest possible. It is required to get to Menorca the day before the first stage, and that’s why the tour also includes the previous night.

GROUPS AND NUMBER OF PERSONS

The minimum number of people to organize a crossing is two and the maximum is eight. In the case of a single person, you can register if you join a group that previously confirmed the reservation.

The dates can be chosen freely as long as the requested dates are available. When they are not, the closest dates available will be offered, including the possibility to join a group that has already confirmed.

Navigation will be adapted at all times to the whole group, and participants must follow the instructions and guidelines provided by the guides, both to guarantee the security and to ensure good group dynamics.

WEATHER AND SEA CONDITIONS

The tours offered are subject to weather and sea conditions, and therefore are subject to change before or even during the activity. In the case of adverse weather conditions, the activity will be changed and adapted according to the areas of the island where it is possible to paddle safely.

In the case of extreme weather conditions that impede safe navigation in any part of the island, other activities of tourist interest for the participants will be organized by Menorca Kayak 360º team.

IS IT REQUIRED TO BE EXPERIENCED?

It is highly recommended to have some prior experience in sea kayaking, and it is essential to know how to swim and be in proper physical condition.

In any case, the tour itself is also a great opportunity to learn and improve the kayaking skills. The guides are not only guides: they are also great instructors.
